Trial fields for Precision Agriculture

The aim of the project is to develop and operate a testing ground for precision agriculture in order to accelerate innovation and the adoption of precision agriculture in the Netherlands.

The aim is to achieve more output (qualitative and quantitative) with less use of water, minerals, plant protection products and resources.

The testing ground for PL focuses on the following derived objectives and activities:

• Provide demo and test facilities for manufacturers and (potential) customers

• Develop joint investments in technology, user-friendly interfaces and analysis methods

• Making data and measurement data accessible for (collective) use by agricultural companies, suppliers, the processing industry and knowledge institutions

• Market awareness and demand articulation

• Facilitating pilots and innovations within the Practice Center and on location

• Boosting and participating in innovation projects

• Further knowledge building through applied research (in collaboration with HAS (development of young capital), WUR, TNO and TU / e, among others)
