E-optima

The companies, Agrico, Milan Innovincy, NAK, Techforce Innovations, Tolsma-Grisnich, Wageningen UR and Waterman Onions, have jointly launched a project plan entitled 'e-Optima' (Emmeloord Onion Potato Technology Information MAnagement).
This consortium of companies, which encompasses the entire chain of breeding, cultivation, storage and processing of potatoes and onions, will work on new products and services based on information technology. Linking all available information from the entire chain creates new knowledge and insights. These will contribute to further optimizing the quality and efficiency of producers and processors of potatoes and onions.
This plan includes the development of high-quality new technologies that will put the Noordoostpolder and Emmeloord on the world map as the knowledge center for potatoes and onions. The aim of the project is to enhance the innovative strength
of existing companies and get more high-quality employment in the Noordoostpolder.
The e-Optima project was made possible in part by a ZZL subsidy from the Province of Flevoland.
